Position: Accountant

Salary: $91,000 per year + Superannuation

Hours: 38 hours per week, Full-Time

Overall Care Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing housekeeping and hotel services business. This role is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting business planning and financial control.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow and debtor finance, and providing financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and regular cash flow monitoring to support informed management and strategic decision-making.
• Provide accurate taxation advice and financial guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws while supporting effective financial outcomes.
• Perform end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll processing in accordance with legislative requirements and internal financial controls.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and timely processing of payments to maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and superannuation contributions in compliance with Australian legislative and reporting requirements.
• Monitor operating expenses, revenue streams, and overall financial performance, providing analysis and insights aligned with organisational objectives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control frameworks to manage financial risk, ensure compliance, and safeguard company assets.
• Ensure all financial reports and records are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting standards and statutory obligations.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting related to labour costs, service contracts, and operational performance across multiple client sites.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications and Skills

• A formal qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field (minimum Bachelor level or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of professional experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and computer-based financial systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
