We are seeking a motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Task & responsibilities
- Plan and design menus, including seasonal variations and special dietary options
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established standards
- Supervise kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Monitor food preparation and cooking techniques to maintain consistency and quality
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and liaise with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
- Train, supervise, and coordinate kitchen staff, including apprentices and kitchen hands
- Control food costs, portion sizes, and minimise wastage
- Inspect food products to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and equipment
- Develop new recipes and contribute to menu innovation
- Ensure all dishes meet presentation and quality standards before service
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
