1st Year Bricklaying Apprentice

When you start your apprenticeship or traineeship with CCGT, we’ll be your legal employer, and you’ll work with one of our host employers in your chosen industry.

You’ll gain hands-on experience and training while completing your qualification, with CCGT supporting you every step of the way.
 
About The Host Employer
Our host employer is a local brick and block company specialising in new builds across industrial and domestic projects. They are now seeking an easy-going yet hard-working apprentice to join their small, dedicated team!
 
What We're Looking For
We’re searching for someone who is:

• A motivated and reliable individual with a valid White Card to work on-site.
• Has strong desire to succeed and grow within the trade.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting, as well as being comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Holds a current driver's licence and access to own vehicle

  
About The Role In this role, you’ll gain real-world experience while studying for a Certificate III in Bricklaying & Blocklaying. You’ll be PAID to learn on the job over 48 months at TAFE NSW - Tighes Hill

Your duties will include:

• Help experienced bricklayers with various bricklaying tasks
• Keep tools, equipment, and the worksite clean and organised
• Learn how to use hand and power tools
• Move and arrange bricks to keep the work flowing smoothly
• Follow safety rules and guidelines on construction sites
• Learn how to properly cut and shape bricks
• Work together with the team to finish projects efficiently
