Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established organization seeking to hire an experienced Payroll Officer for a stand-alone position. Role Overview:
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing the complete payroll process for the organization. This includes processing payroll using Elmo Accounting Software, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The role will be independent, giving you the freedom to manage payroll functions on a flexible, part-time basis (2-3 days per week).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer the payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Use Elmo Accounting Software to manage and update payroll data
  • Generate payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and taxes
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including Fair Work, tax, and superannuation obligations
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure statutory deductions are correctly applied
  • Respond to employee payroll-related queries and provide assistance where needed
  • Maintain confidential and secure payroll records in compliance with legal requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar payroll role
  • Proficiency in using Elmo Accounting Software (Required) 
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance, including Fair Work and Superannuation
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in payroll processing
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to assist employees with payroll-related inquiries
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information responsibly
