Job Role: 3D Maya Designer | Drone Sky Shows

Remote | Contract/Freelance

Drone Sky Shows is on the hunt for a talented 3D Designer with experience in Maya to help bring our skies to life through jaw-dropping drone light shows seen around the world.

As a key creative partner, you'll collaborate closely with our team to design and deliver impactful 3D animations that transform into unforgettable aerial performances. If you're passionate about visual storytelling and large-scale spectacle, we want to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

3+ years of experience in 3D design and animation, ideally with Maya

Strong 3D design skills with an eye for animation, movement and audience impact

Experience designing for large-scale events, light shows or live entertainment (bonus)

A creative thinker with the ability to translate abstract concepts into compelling visual stories

A portfolio that showcases past design and animation work, especially relevant to spatial or large-scale visual media

Familiarity with Verge Aero or similar drone animation tools is a plus

What you’ll do:

Develop and refine 3D animations tailored for drone light show performances

Collaborate with the creative and operations teams to ensure animations are executable within technical constraints

Participate in client meetings to understand and translate their vision into stunning visual concepts

Contribute to the evolution of our visual style and show formats

Pay: $59,654.80 – $106,470.83 per year
