As an Accountant at Prosperity C Accountants, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives through accurate financial reporting and analysis. Working independently and alongside a cross-functional team, you will oversee financial transactions, prepare reports, and provide insights to enhance financial efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management Manage Prosperity Consultants’ financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Your focus will be on maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing financial workflows.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Prepare and analyze budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections. Your insights will help the management team plan effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure financial stability.
  • Financial Reporting Generate and present detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These reports will provide transparency into the company’s financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and submitting accurate tax returns, including GST, payroll tax, and corporate tax filings. You will stay updated on tax laws and recommend strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Cost Analysis and Optimization Conduct cost-benefit analyses to assess operational expenses and identify areas for cost savings. You will play a key role in optimizing financial efficiency across the company's operations.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Audit Preparation Coordinate and support internal and external audits by ensuring financial records are accurate, organized, and in compliance with regulatory standards. You will address audit findings and implement recommendations to enhance financial processes.
  • Accounts Reconciliation Perform regular bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and identify discrepancies. You will investigate and resolve any financial inconsistencies efficiently.
  • Payroll Processing Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, superannuation contributions, and compliance with employment regulations. You will also handle employee expense reimbursements and financial queries.
  • Financial Strategy Support Assist in developing financial strategies that align with Prosperity Consultants’ broader business objectives. You will provide financial insights to support operational decision-making and long-term growth.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, consulting, administration) and external partners (e.g., tax authorities, financial institutions, auditors) to ensure smooth financial operations. Your role will involve integrating financial best practices into business processes.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, with a proven track record in financial management, reporting, and compliance.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in accounting software.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools for handling large datasets and generating reports.

Analytical Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on interpreting financial data and providing actionable insights to improve financial efficiency.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Adaptability

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
