About the Role (Candidate MUST be proficient in bilingual English & Chinese, Mandarin Preferred)

Accounting Dept. plays a critical role in PIA by providing high-quality accounting as well as having the ability to multi-task in this fast paced environment.

The accounting department works closely with the operation administrative team to support our growing portfolio and lead resiedntial property sales. 

If you are an experienced accountant that would like to pursue your career to a further stage; or a recent graduate with limited experience but with initiative & desire to achieve professional experience and exposure to the trust account area, PIA is the right place for you to join.

Should you have the desire to progress to your CPA, PIA can provide you with the necessary CPA mentoring by an experienced accounting manager.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Trust Account Management & Reconciliation

  • Payment Processing & Financial Transactions

  • Regulatory Compliance & Auditing

  • Handling Unknown Funds in Trust Account

  • Reporting & Documentation Management

  • Accounting Administrative Tasks & Ad-hoc Tasks & Support as required

About You: The ideal candidate will possess the following

  • Minimum 1 year's proven relevant professional experience for AA role

  • Tertiory Degree in Commerce or Business, major in Accounting (or equivalent experience)

  • Skillful with MS Office and MYOB applications

  • Professional accounting qualification

  • Valid Visa to work and live in Australia (PR) or Citzen

  • Team spirit while balancing taking accountability and ownership of assigned tasks

  • Fit in a fast-paced environment with a positive and can-do attitude

Background of the role

With 6,000+ properties and 10,000 tenants under management, our Property Management portfolio spans the Sydney Metropolitan region and is growing at a steady rate.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Trust Account Accounting Clerk will be responsible for ensuring that all trust money for each client and in respect of each transaction for that client can be accurately accounted for at all times. This role also works closely with the Operation Admin team to monitor relating work emails receipt and replies as well as relating reports preparation and auditing. 

This includes daily bank reconciliation, and daily processing and disbursement of all incoming and outgoing trust monies together with the statutory end of month requirements, end of financial year reporting and assistance with auditors as required.
