The role
GapEOD is looking for a reliable, self-motivated person to join our friendly team as an Administration Assistant. You will be working with our Financial Controller and Administration and Logistics Co-ordinator. This is an 'all-rounder' position.
Your tasks will involve multiple aspects of a busy, small office environment.
Initially the role will be casual, with a view to changing to permanent part-time within 6 months of commencement.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Handling a variety of administrative tasks including purchasing and organising freight and travel
• Data entry and document management including HSEC.
• Utilise XERO to assist with:
Process accounts payable
Reconcile bank statements
Processing payroll
• General office duties including scanning and filing
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:
• Qualifications in Business, Business Admin or Bookkeeping, regarded but not required, and/or
• 2 + years prior work experience in an administrative, office support or bookkeeping position.
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
• Experience with Xero would be an asset, but not essential
• Accurate data entry
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Reliable, have initiative and a strong work ethic
• Cooperative and friendly nature
This position will suit an experienced person looking for a long-term position in a friendly and supportive environment. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will work between 12-16 hours spread over two or three days each week. Some flexibility will be considered to suit applicants personal circumstances and to align work hours with other staff members.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
