The role
We have two exciting opportunities available for passionate and skilled Grade 2 Allied Health Assistants to join our supportive and collaborative physiotherapy teams at Cabrini. Both roles involve delivering high-quality care through individual and group therapy sessions in either an acute or rehabilitation setting.
Position 1: Cabrini Malvern – Acute Care
  • 0.8 FTE | Permanent Part-Time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Work across surgical, general medical, and palliative care wards
  • Focus on individual therapy and patient mobility post-surgery or acute admission
Position 2: Cabrini Brighton – Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • 0.6 FTE | Permanent Part-Time
  • Wednesday to Friday
  • Deliver group-based therapy for patients undergoing orthopaedic, neurological, or general reconditioning rehabilitation
How You’ll Make an Impact
In both roles, you’ll work under the direction of physiotherapists to support patient care through:
  • Facilitating safe, effective group and individual therapy programs
  • Assisting patients in and out of therapy sessions, including transport and set-up
  • Monitoring and reporting patient progress or concerns to the treating physiotherapist
  • Supporting Allied Health Assistant student supervision and training
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary team members and contributing to a positive team environment
  • Performing administrative tasks as required by the team leader or senior staff
About you
We’re looking for proactive and compassionate Allied Health Assistants who thrive in dynamic healthcare settings. You’ll bring:
  • A relevant Allied Health Assistant qualification (minimum Certificate III or IV)
  • Experience delivering exercise-based therapy and supporting patient groups (highly regarded)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
