Reporting to the Strategic Business Planning Manager, you will be supporting strategic business planning and value creation through budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, financial modelling, business optimisation, and analysis to guide key business decisions and achieve financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality integrated planning, budgeting, forecasting and modelling outputs which align to enterprise strategy, drive business performance and support the delivery of the organization’s objectivesActively support excellence in long-term planning, modelling and scenario analysis to predict key performance metrics and optimise return on invested capitalContinuously improve planning, budgeting, forecasting and modelling processes by enhancing systems, datasets, and outputs for greater efficiency and accuracy in partnership with business stakeholders and finance business partnersMonitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights into performance drivers, trends, risks and opportunities and support the implementation of measures designed to maximise enterprise outcomesProvide financial modelling, competitor analysis, and commercial support for strategic business initiatives and decision-makingContribute to a high engagement culture within the Integrated Business Planning Team in support the team’s performance objectives Your background Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field; post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CA) preferredExperience in financial modelling, strategic business planning, corporate development and strategy, or FP&A rolesProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems; Workday or Adaptive Planning experience preferredAble to manage large complex datasets, including Microsoft PowerBI and SQL experience (preferred)Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills – able to present insights to diverse audiences and connect financial insights to business objectivesEssential capabilities include accountability, judgement, attention to detail, continuous improvement, commercial acumen and being a good learnerStrong relationship-building and communication skills for management of remote stakeholders Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
