API Developer

Location: Derrimut, Melbourne, VIC (on-site)

Tasman Logistics Services is a leading provider of innovative supply chain and logistics solutions across Australia. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled API Developer / Integration Specialist with a strong background in SQL and electronic data interchange (EDI) to join our dynamic IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support business system integrations with clients, partners, and internal platforms.

• Build and manage EDI interfaces for seamless data exchange with trading partners.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather integration requirements and implement scalable solutions.

• Write and optimise complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts for data transformation and integration.

• Monitor and troubleshoot integration pipelines to ensure data accuracy and flow.

• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and documentation of integration workflows.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).

• Solid experience in API development (RESTful, SOAP) and system integrations.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, etc.).

• Familiarity with integration tools or platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, or similar).

• Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.

• Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transport industries is highly desirable.
