Appliance technician

Alantin Services has an exciting opportunity exists for passionate, motivated and enthusiastic Service Technician to join our team. This position is full time servicing Melbourne Metro area.

We have been providing excellent service to all of Victoria for over 45 years, specialising in Smeg Appliances being our No.1 brand we service throughout Victoria

You will be provided with tools of trade , this Domestic role involves getting out on the road in a service van to visit our customers for service calls. Our Technicians bring outstanding knowledge of technical skills ,and thrive on providing the best possible service to our customers. As a Service Technician, you will be the face of the brand for many of our loyal customers - and you'll be ready to work on a range of quality Smeg appliances from new through to 10, 20, 30+ years old!

Enjoys getting out and about meeting and working with customers and other team members

• Understands customer needs and expectations
• Prides themselves on providing the highest level of customer service

Job responsibilities will include:
 

• Carrying out quality field service repairs at the customer's premises, and occasionally in our workshop
• Ensuring a positive customer experience at all times
• Accurate and timely completion of necessary paperwork and service invoices
• Management of van stock
• Handling and resolving customer complaints in the field within company guidelines
• Providing exceptional customer service!

Requirements of the role include:
 

• Great attitude with a friendly, professional and positive attitude
• Relevant experience and minimum of a disconnect/reconnect licence would be an advantage
• Current and valid full Australian driver's licence
• Sound technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault finding through effective problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills

• Be a team player with the ability to ask for, and provide, direction when needed
• Have a gas, refrigeration, household/commercial appliance or white goods background ( would be an advantage, but not necessary )
• Salary is based on experience within the industry - training is provided.
• Be able to drive to varying locations within Melbourne Metro area 
• Genuinely enjoy meeting and interacting with customers
• Embrace changing technology and work efficiencies
