The APS5 Insights and Performance Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex data analysis to support the Complaints Branch.

The role will involve completion of regular reporting and tasks to support the wider branch strategy. The role may include working with internal stakeholders across the Agency, managing prioritisation of various reporting activities and providing advice on data related to complaints within the Agency.

The key duties of the position include:
  • Contributing towards data and reporting insights for the branch.
  • Reviewing data collection, quality and reporting processes for teams across the branch.
  • Analysing data, identifying trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analysing intersectionality data and contributing towards holistic reporting for the Agency.
  • Testing insights and codesigning recommendations with teams across the branch.
  • Engaging other data and reporting functions, sharing information, tools and systems.
  • Converting information into consumable data for the Agency’s Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • ​​​​​​​Contributing towards the design, creation and distribution of accessible reporting and information.
Eligibility

Previous experience working in SAS coding environments, or Salesforce dashboard designing, within the Australian Public Service is desirable.

Advanced Excel and Power Query skills highly desirable.

Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics or similar is desirable but not required.
