Arborist

Tree Down Under Company is a leading tree services business proudly servicing the greater Sydney region. We specialise in professional tree removal, pruning, land clearing, and emergency tree services. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Arborist to join our expert team.

About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Arborist who is passionate about tree care and safety. You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of arboricultural work, ensuring a high standard of service and adhering to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assess trees for health, structural integrity, and potential hazards

· Perform tree pruning, trimming, thinning, and removal work using industry best practices

· Operate chainsaws, chippers, and elevated work platforms (EWPs) safely and effectively

· Carry out stump grinding and site clean-up following tree works

· Provide professional advice on tree management and maintenance to clients

· Identify pest infestations and diseases affecting trees and recommend treatments

· Ensure compliance with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements on-site

· Complete risk assessments and prepare job safety analysis (JSA) reports before commencing works

Essential Criteria:

· Certificate III in Arboriculture or at least three years of experience

· Competence in the safe use of arborist tools and equipment

· Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks

· Strong knowledge of tree species, growth habits, and structural assessment

· Commitment to safe work practices and environmental care

· Valid Australian driver’s licence

Desirable:

· Current First Aid certificate

· EWP licence and/or High-Risk Work licence

· Traffic Control certifications

Job Types: Full-time, Subcontract

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
