An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join their team in Alexandria. This is a 6-month contract role with an immediate start, ideal for someone with SAP experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Role…
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing transactions and reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts
- Handling bank allocations and transaction reconciliations
- Managing purchase orders and ensuring timely, accurate processing
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
- Providing support with accounts receivable and collections
- Responding promptly and professionally to internal finance support emails
About You…
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- At least 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant or Finance Officer within a large or complex organisation
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with progress toward CPA or CA highly regarded
- Proficiency in SAP is essential
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently
