Primary Purpose:
This is an Assistant Accountant role with a focus on receivables.
You will primarily be responsible for collecting payments and following-up debtors when required to ensure a healthy AR Aging.
You will be comfortable calling clients, discussing payment and receiving payments over the phone to build strong rapport.
You will conduct PPSR registrations, credit checks, creating new customers account and monitoring credit limits.
You will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputed transactions.
You will support the Financial Accountant, and the finance team as required.
Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation.
Assist with accounts payable: international payments, credit card reconciliation, and vendor management when required.
Support financial reporting, transaction processing, and statutory compliance.
Analyse financial data and generate insightful reports.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all relevant transactions are recorded accurately.
Assist in preparation in BAS, FBT, Workcover and Payroll tax returns and payment.
Assist in year-end Statutory Audit for the group entities.
Manage multi-currency bank reconciliation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
We require the successful applicant to have recent NetSuite experience. This is mandatory.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, with desire to/or currently studying for CPA.
2-3 years’ experience in a medium sized organisation.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) is mandatory, V and X look ups etc.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Immediate start preferred.
