Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for an Assistant Accountant located on-site in Hallam, VIC. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with marketplace operations. The role also includes reconciling accounts, supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements• A degree in Accounting or Commerce (or currently working towards it).• CA/CPA qualification (completed or in progress) is highly regarded.• Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting support role.• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.• Excellent attention to detail and effective time management.• Strong written and interpersonal communication abilities.• Proficiency with computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus
Key Responsibilities• Managing General Ledger and processing journal entries.• Handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.• Performing balance sheet reconciliations.• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.• Ensuring tax compliance and assisting with audit preparation.• Carrying out other general administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
