The Position

The casual assistant accountants’ position will be to assist in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and maintaining financial records. This role is vital in supporting the senior accountants and CFO in preparing financial statements and reports.

This role is an ideal opportunity to develop your skills in a commercially focused environment. You will have worked previously in a manufacturing/production and have an understanding of its operating requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry of financial transactions and reconciliations

• General ledger maintenance, supporting the month end process including Balance Sheet reconciliations, posting journals, managing Fixed Assets

• Monthly end and period close process

• Tax Compliance including BAS, IAS, GST returns

• Assisting with general accounting tasks required by the finance team.

• Assist with SG&A variance analyst

  • Detailed schedules for Advertising & Marketing

  • Property/Vehicle leases

What We Are Looking For

• Australian Degree qualification with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in eCommerce &/or manufacturing is essential 

• Proficiency with accounting software with a manufacturing/production environment

• Experience with systemised stock/inventory management

• Excellent problem solving and communication/written skills

• Self-motivated individual 

• Great attention to detail and tech savvy with confident approach to new systems

Location

• We are located in Truganina, Victoria in modern offices with onsite carparking

The Role

• 38 hrs per week office based only

• 3 month term contract with a view to permanency
