Position Overview: We’re seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Store Manager to support our Gold Coast location. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, leading the team, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role includes a mix of leadership, operational, and strategic responsibilities to drive store success in a fun and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of Guest Experience Guides to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Support training programs to ensure the team meets performance and operational standards.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work culture.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily store operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and inventory management.
- Ensure VR equipment is maintained to the highest safety and functionality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and engaging environment for guests and staff
Sales and Marketing
- Assist in driving sales initiatives and marketing campaigns to attract new guests and maintain customer loyalty.
- Support the execution of local promotional events and partnerships.
Customer Experience
- Resolve customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Strive to exceed guest expectations, ensuring an unforgettable Sandbox VR experience.
Health and Safety
- Enforce all health and safety protocols, conducting regular checks on equipment and facilities.
- Assist in managing risk and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Reporting and Administration
- Contribute to performance reports, sales analysis, and other operational documents.
- Work closely with the General Manager to achieve store targets and operational goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Leadership experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or customer-facing roles.
- Passion for virtual reality, gaming, and cutting-edge technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for inspiring and motivating teams.
- Experience in sales and marketing initiatives is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- First Aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (preferred but not required).
