What are we looking for?

We are now seeking a talented and qualified Associate/Senior Associate (5+ PAE) to join our Medical Law practice in our Ringwood office.  We offer flexible and hybrid work options, however, there will be a requirement to be in office at our Ringwood location, and Melbourne office from time to time.

Our Lawyers in the Medical Law teams across the country, assist clients who are impacted by medical negligence (also known as medical malpractice).  This is the failure from a health-care provider, including GPs, hospitals and specialists, to treat clients with reasonable skill and care, causing an injury as a result.

The successful person in this position will work closely with an established team across a range of Medical Law matters and will take carriage of a file load.  This is an opportunity for an experienced Lawyer to work with some incredibly talented and likeminded team members.  Critical to the role will be forging strong links with internal and external stakeholders.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Management of a Medical Law practice
  • Provide clear, practical and concise legal and commercial advice
  • Providing a tailored approach to clients to understand the context of their matter
  • Identifying practical and innovative solutions for clients
  • Maintain and build new client relationships for the practice
  • Providing exceptional service to clients

  • Previous practising experience in personal injury law with a passion for Medical Law
  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to listen to, and empathise with clients and their families
