The Automotive Teacher – Electric Vehicles plays a key role in delivering high-quality vocational education, training, and competency-based assessments in electric vehicle technologies. This role involves teaching in a variety of settings, including workshops, classrooms, online platforms, and industry-based environments, ensuring learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge aligned with current and emerging industry standards in automotive electrification.

Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs and resources for electric vehicle and automotive technology coursesCreate authentic, hands-on learning experiences that reflect current and emerging industry practices in electric vehicle systemsUtilise training packages and accredited courses to meet the needs of students and industry partnersFacilitate practical training in workshop environments, ensuring adherence to safety and industry standardsIdentify and support diverse student learning needs, including language, literacy, and numeracyDesign and implement valid, reliable, and industry-relevant assessment toolsAssess student competence across a range of automotive contexts, with a focus on electric vehicle systemsParticipate in moderation and validation of assessment tools and student outcomesMaintain industry currency through ongoing professional development and engagement with the automotive and EV sectorEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with automotive industry partners and employersPromote BKI's automotive and electric vehicle training programs to prospective students and stakeholdersContribute to workforce development strategies aligned with advancements in automotive technologyEnsure compliance with national VET quality standards and relevant legislative requirementsMaintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and administrative documentationEngage in continuous quality improvement and support compliance-related activities
