Purpose Of Position Hexagon Mining in partnership with our client will deploy and operate a world-first fleet of 120 fully Autonomous Road Trains to carry ore 150km to the Port. Hexagon Mining have an exciting opportunity for an Autonomous Training Specialist to join our team full-time in Western Australia on this cutting-edge Autonomous Road Trains project. The appointed individual will lead a small team and be crucial in establishing and maintaining a Training and Competency management system, delivering high-quality training to all roles in our Autonomous Operations Team. Major Areas Of Responsibility Establish and enforce a procedure for maintaining and updating training, licenses, and competencies required for employeesCreate and maintain a Training Needs Analysis for all roles including key areas of Autonomy System Operation, safety procedures, protocols, maintenance and troubleshootingDevelop user manuals, guides, and online documentationConduct Training Needs analysis of site based roles and tasksDeliver training sessions or webinars for internal and customer personnelConduct verifications of competency for Autonomous Road Train tasksFacilitate storage and control of all training documentation for reporting and auditing compliance Knowledge And Experience - Required Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116/TAE40122 minimum or equivalent.Previous experience in a training/assessor role in a mining, oil and gas, industrial environment.Experience developing a comprehensive training curriculumAdvanced written, oral and presentation skillsAdvanced document control experienceCurrent C class drivers’ licenceMust have the right to work in Australia and provide evidenceCurrent National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months, or able to obtain. Knowledge And Experience - Desired Knowledge of mining regulations and core safety proceduresMining environment exposure with Automation experienceExperience with change managementExperience working with new technologies through development into deployment Travel This is a Perth-based role that will require regular travel (60%+) to Onslow particularly as the project moves into deployment and then operations.
