We’re seeking an experienced, dynamic Bid Writer to join our high-performing national business development team, helping to accelerate our growth and enhance our market presence.
Reporting to the Executive Group Director of Business Development, This is a pivotal role that will directly influence the future growth of SKG Services by crafting compelling tenders, proposals, and presentations with a WOW factor! As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in securing new business, retaining existing clients, and positioning SKG Services as the go-to provider in our sector.
This role will be working in the office located in CBD.
What You’ll Do:
Craft Winning Bids: Write tailored, persuasive tenders and proposals for our cleaning, security, and maintenance contracts.
Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Business Development Team to ensure all submissions meet client needs and align with SKG’s strategic goals.
Research & Innovate: Conduct in-depth research to understand client requirements, industry trends, and competitor strategies, ensuring each bid is compelling and competitive.
Coordinate Across Teams: Collaborate with internal departments to gather the necessary information, including pricing, operational plans, and compliance details, to create seamless submissions.
Maintain High Standards: Edit and proofread documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, while ensuring alignment with SKG Services’ brand voice.
Organise & Optimise: Maintain and update a comprehensive tender library, including templates, case studies, and references, for future use.
Manage Deadlines: Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Lead Presentations: Prepare engaging capability statements and credentials documents that effectively showcase our expertise and value proposition.
Enhance Practices: Work with various business divisions to implement best practices and improve bid production processes.
Develop Content: Continuously build and maintain a rich content library to streamline the creation of future proposals.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Proven success as a Tender Writer, Bid Coordinator, or similar role in the soft services or related industries.
Outstanding Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse complex information and craft clear, concise, and persuasive content.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tender portals.
Organisation & Time Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
Collaboration: A proactive team player with a collaborative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Professional Background: A degree in marketing, business, or commerce and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Client-Focused: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards and follow through on tasks.
