Specific to invasive weeds and pest animal management across all Queensland stakeholders, we are looking for an Officer to join our technical team to reduce the impacts of these species through preventative approaches, collaborative project work and extension programs.

Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy. We are dedicated to safeguarding both human and animal health by preventing and mitigating plant and animal pests and diseases. We work tirelessly to uphold a high level of animal welfare standards and maintain access to interstate markets, critical for Queensland's thriving primary industries. Biosecurity Queensland monitors and regulates the application of agricultural and vererinary chemicals, ensuring they are used safely and in compliance with legislation. With a commitment to developing capabilities and preparedness, we are the forefront of protecting Queensland against biosecurity risks.
