Boilermaker

Workfast is looking for Boilermakers for an immediate start for 6-9 months  for a valued client based in Malaga,WA. 
 
What you get

• $65.00 per hour flat rate
• Monday - Friday - 06:00am - 2:00pm, there will be periods where  10 hour days (06:00am - 04:00pm) are required and occasional 12 hour shift on Saturdays
• 7.5 Hour Days
• 6-9 months of work

What you need

• Australian Driver's License
• MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)
  High Risk Work License – Forklift
• Overhead Crane (desirable)

What you will be doing
 

• Perform hard-face overlay welding on cast components and sizer shafts using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) process
• Carry out arc air gouging to remove cracks and defective material from sizer shafts and components
• Fit replacement or refurbished components to bare sizer shafts and wear rings
• Assist mechanical fitters in the stripping and reassembly of sizer and associated mechanical components
• Collaborate with the QA/QC team to maintain high standards of workmanship and documentation
• Operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts in accordance with site safety protocols and load-handling procedures
