Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and welding. The role involves working in both our workshop and onsite. (Consists of Day & Night works as required).

Key responsibilities

• Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques

• Assemble fabricated components by welding and other fabrication techniques

• Perform routine manual metal arc welding and weld using flux core arc welding process

• Selecting the correct materials – metal

• Perform routine gas tungsten arc welding

• Repair, replace and/or modify fabrications

• Perform geometric development

• Interpret technical drawings

• Perform engineering measurements

• Perform computations and Interact with computing technology

• Use hand tools and power tools/handheld operations

• Carry out mechanical cutting and perform manual heating and thermal cutting

• Order materials and metal stock

• Mark off/out structural fabrications and shapes

• Operate as a team member to conduct manufacturing, engineering or related activities

• Organise and communicate information with Team, supervisors

• Assist in the provision of on-the-job training

• Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices

• Apply safe fabricating and welding practices

• Use workshop machines for basic operations

Essential Qualifications

Trade certification in Boilermaker or equivalent

Manual C Class Drivers license

White Card

National Police Clearance

Essential Experience

At least 5 years previous work experience as a Boilermaker

Previous experience in the construction industry

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
