The Role:
We are seeking a skilled, dual trade Boilermaker/Fitter to join our Repairs Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently to meet scheduled deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out structural and mechanical repairs and modifications to trailers and components

• Perform welding, fitting, and general fabrication tasks to a high standard

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Maintain WHS compliance at all times and ensure a safe working environment

• Schedule and manage own workload to meet repair deadlines without supervision

• Assist with stock control, parts checks, and reporting of shortages

• Record and report completed work accurately

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Fitting & Machining)

• Minimum 4 years Trade Experience

• Strong time management and ability to work to a schedule without supervision

• Sound understanding of WHS practices

• Basic stock control knowledge

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Mechanical knowledge is highly regarded but not essential

Desirable:

• Forklift & EWP

• Experience working with trailer repairs or vehicle modifications
