Tasks & responsibilities

• Read and understand plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Operate company equipment such as skid steer, mini-excavator, mini-skid steer, tracked loader, masonry/chop saws, and other relevant machinery.
• Seal foundations with damp-resistant materials and spread layers of mortar to serve as a base and binder for blocks using trowels.
• Mix mortar or other bonding materials to the appropriate consistency.
• Collaborate with the landscaping team to integrate brickwork into overall designs.
• Perform quality checks to ensure the integrity and durability of the brickwork.
• Lay bricks, pavers, stones, and other materials to create rows, designs, and shapes, spreading mortar between the joints.
• Embed blocks in mortar and remove excess mortar.
• Check vertical and horizontal alignment.
• Cut, shape, and polish stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces.
• Repair and maintain structures, cement blocks, and other masonry structures.
• Follow and use safety procedures and materials.
• Communicate with clients about project details when required.

• Maintain accurate records of machine repairs, including parts used, work performed, and customer information.
• Generate repair reports and invoices for clients, detailing the nature of the repair and any recommendations for future maintenance.
• Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on repaired equipment to verify functionality and performance.
