Bricklayer

We are an award-winning landscape construction company based in Deakin, Canberra, known for delivering premium residential and commercial landscaping projects. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Bricklayer to join our passionate and dynamic team on a full-time basis.

As a Bricklayer at Capital Design + Landscape, you will play a key role in the construction and delivery of high-quality landscape projects across the Canberra region. From intricate stone walls to structural brick features, your skills will help bring exceptional outdoor spaces to life.

Task & Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials for landscape construction projects.
• Construct retaining walls, feature walls, pathways, and decorative finishes.
• Interpret and work from detailed construction plans and specifications.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and project managers to deliver outstanding outcomes.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and company safety protocols.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of proven work experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in landscaping or construction industries.
• Relevant qualifications in Bricklaying/Block laying desirable
• Strong knowledge of masonry materials, construction methods, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour in outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
