Building Associate Required for Sydney Construction Firm

We are currently seeking a full-time Building Associate for our business located in Wolli Creek, Sydney.

Your duties will include: 

• Working closely with site and project managers including relevant construction consultants. You will be responsible for providing support in any planning and organising of site projects;

• You must have sound knowledge of the building codes and regulations as well as understanding plans and drawings;
• You must be able to formulate and generate draft drawings, working drawings and apply an understanding of specifications;
• You must be able to edit and review those plans and generate any charts or maps to aid in the construction process;
• You must be able to manage works programs;
• In regards to compliance of standards, regulations and specifications, you will need to examine any construction work undertaken and materials used;
• You must know how to analyse costs as well as estimating time;
• You must know how to use surveying and any other related equipment as well as being able to understand the information generated from this equipment;
• You must be able undertake regular calculations and allocating data.

In return you will receive:

• Package: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation
• Position: Full time (38 hours a week)
• Ongoing support from our team

Requirements of position

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of experience to substitute formal qualification
