The Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering new contracted revenues and maintaining annualised revenues. This role involves pursuing business development opportunities, planning and negotiating new business proposals
What You’ll Be Doing:
Pursue and win business development opportunities aligned with corporate goals and strategy.
Plan, cost, and negotiate new business proposals, presenting them to management and potential clients.
Act as the key contact for all sales enquiries and opportunities within region
Contribute to and write tenders and proposals in a timely and professional manner.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring service offerings meet or exceed expectations.
Provide feedback to operations based on customer feedback.
Maintain and update sales pipelines to ensure accuracy and insight into market conditions.
Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge, trends, and competitor activities.
Represent Silk professionally to customers and the industry.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years in a Sales, Marketing, or Business Development role.
Proven experience in business development and customer management at a senior level.
Degree qualified, with additional business management training highly regarded.
Excellent understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics Operating Models, including pricing and rate cards.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Ability to take initiative.
