A Business Manager role will usually undertake tasks that impact on the whole school. The role seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, finance or human resources.
Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. This latitude will generally be limited by standard procedures and school policy. Deviation from standard procedures and school policy will require guidance and direction from senior management.
Management of staff to achieve the expected outcomes is a key responsibility. Staff management issues will be resolved with minimal reference to senior management, although guidance will be required in more complex cases. Senior management will be provided with timely reports and advice in matters relating to the school finance, human resources or school administration.

Wollert Andrews Road Primary School (Interim Name) is a new government school opening in 2026, located at 28 Ellesmere Boulevard Wollert 3750. The establishment of this new Wollert community school will support the increasing enrolment demand from a growing local population, joining five other network schools built within the last five years.
Our school will open with places for up to 525 students with enrolments open from Foundation to Year 6. Wollert Andrews Road Primary School provides a unique opportunity to open another local school in the Wollert community that provides high-quality education for local students, strengthening the already established education provision in this growth area.
When open for Term 1, 2026, the school will include:
Wollert Andrews Road Primary School will be co-located with an Early Learning Centre that will provide long day and Three-and Four-Year Old Kindergarten programs, supporting families with care needs and a smoother transition to primary school. The Victorian Government-owned centre will be run by Early Learning Victoria and will provide another unique opportunity of building a professional relationship that strengthens the learning of all students.
Wollert Andrews Road Primary School will open as a government mainstream school with the unique opportunity of creating a community of learners with a collective approach and commitment to building exemplary practice and pride in growth and achievement.
The founding Leadership Team will be integral to shaping and creating the culture, philosophy and strategic intent for our new school.
