We are seeking skilled cabinet makers to join our team in creating high-quality custom cabinetry. As a cabinet maker , you will be responsible for crafting and assembling cabinets according to specifications and ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship. Task & Responsibilities
  • Measure and cut materials to build cabinets
  • Assemble cabinets using various tools and techniques
  • Installing and fitting hardware such as hinges and handles, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware
  • Ensure quality and precision in all work
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
  • Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood and other engineered wood products
  • Programming and controlling computer-aided design and computer numerical control machines to mark out, cut and shape components
  • Working from drawings and specifications to make cabinets and furniture
  • Installing cabinetry in bathrooms and kitchens and commercial fitouts
  • Assembling parts to form sections of cabinets and built in furniture and completed articles
  • Applying protective coatings to cabinets and furniture
  • May repair and refurbish cabinetry

Qualification & Experience

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

  • Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Skills 
Proficient in using woodworking tools and machinery
Knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Precision and attention to detail in measuring and cutting wood
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and fix woodworking issues
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
