Silvern Guardian Security Services Pty Ltd (70 Essington Lewis Ave, Whyalla SA 5600) is hiring a full-time Cabler to join the team. We aim to offer quick and efficient services and are looking for a skilled and experienced worker.

Task & responsibilities

• Installing camera mounts, cable trays, conduits, and supports
• Using cable testers to verify continuity and signal quality
• Inventory, labelling, documenting cable runs, preparing materials while working under the guidance of a licensed security installer.
• Installing network switches, patch panels, and general data cabling that may also support CCTV
• Drill access holes and prepare conduits, trays, and ducting for cable runs
• Pull, lay, and secure coaxial, Cat5e/Cat6, and fiber optic cables for surveillance systems
• Running, troubleshooting, and terminating cables

Qualification & experience

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or at least three years of relevant experience to substitute for the formal qualifications

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Cabling skills, and troubleshooting skills and electrical safety skills

Holds or in the process of obtaining ACMA licence
