Cabler/ Fire Technician (Data or Telecommunication Cabler/ Security Installer)

All Stop Fire Systems was established in 2002 and have since been a provider of three core services, including consult, design and supply & installation for new construction.

We are currently seeking an Cabler to join our installation team, preferably in a team leader role. No experience in Fire specifically required, but preferred. We're looking for a highly organised individual, with a positive and solution based 'can-do' attitude, willing to work individually, as well as supervise a small team. 

• Installation and running of cables for Fire Detection & Alarm systems in high-rise constuction

• Installing fire detection and alarm system devices in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard.eg. speakers, smoke alarms.etc. (No experience in fire required).

• Testing and Commissioning Fire Detection & Alarm systems

• Use of hand and power tools and equipment as required.

• Read and follow plans and instructions.

• Use ladders and scaffolding.

• Working in confined spaces.

• Working at heights.

• Will require working individually and as a team.

• Following all WHS procedures.

To be considered for this position:

• You must hold a unrestricted cabling license OR be willing to complete a 5 day ‘Open cabling’ course (mixed - online and in person). 

• You must have a white card (general construction induction card) before starting.

• Experience in the fire industry is preferred but no essential.

• A drivers license and your own vehicle or suitable transport is preferred as job locations vary frequently.

• Be punctual and reliable.

• Willingness to learn and progress your knowledge and skills of the trade.

• You should be confident to working at heights.

• You must have a strong dedication to this trade.

This position is full time 40 hours per week with some weekly overtime at times when required.
