Care Support Worker

We're in search of a caring individual with flexible availability across all shifts to join us as a Care Support Worker at City Beach Facility on a casual basis.

Supporting our clients living with neurological conditions, (including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke) our City Beach Respite Accommodation facility support clients in a warm, homely, and friendly environment.

Close to the beach and local amenities including transport, it is staffed by a welcoming, and friendly team.

Typically, clients tend to stay for one or two weeks, to get the much needed rest and recuperation they need.

How you can make a difference every day:

• Providing personal care (e.g., showering and dressing) to promote health and well-being.
• Medication administration & assistance.
• Meal preparation and other household duties (the small stuff makes a huge difference!)
• Working to meet the unique needs of the client by following their individualized care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals.

  
Our ‘must haves’

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain.)

  
Our ‘nice to haves’

• Experience in a similar role – either within disability or aged care support
• A positive attitude (makes a huge difference!)
• A Certificate III in a relevant discipline
• Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (we can help you here if not!)
