Fast Labour Hire provides skilled labour to the residential and commercial construction industry throughout NSW and all over Australia. A significant part of our business is also undertaking subcontract work where we have our own qualified tradespeople to carry our work for carpentry.

The Role & What We Are Looking For

Fast Labour Hire requires casual qualified Carpenter to assist with the increased volume of work we are receiving for both commercial and residential niches. 

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years experience in carpentry, have a valid Australian driver's licence, and have the physical ability to perform a range of carpentry work

The Successful Applicant will need:

• Cert 3 in Carpentry

• CIC induction card (White card)

• Experience in all aspects of carpentry 

• Be available to start immediately

• Own tools (including framing gun/Second fix and drop saw) tested and tagged

• A proven background in commercial and residential construction projects

• Must have a current driver's license and reliable transport

• A proven background in construction projects

• The ability to work independently and respond promptly to requests

• The ability to maintain a high standard of workmanship without supervision

• Perform all duties to a high standard

• Be able to work quickly and efficiently to complete tasks and manage a high-volume workload

• The ability to prioritise and organise workload

• The ability to follow systems, processes and guidelines

• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer service

• A strong technical understanding and strong understanding of OHS responsibilities and practices

Roles & Responsibilities

• First and Second Fix including timber/Metal framing, Door/hardware install, cladding, skirting and architraves

• Site set out and completing take-offs as required

• Remedial works

• Reviewing plans, permits and specifications to ensure the jobs are being completed as per the agreed scope of work

• Installation and repair of eave linings and cladding, building decks and other general carpentry work.
