Our carpenter builds, installs, and repairs timber structures and fittings, working with materials like wood and plywood. They measure, cut, and assemble components for framing, roofing, and interior features.

Benefits

Annual Salary: $76.5k + Superannuation.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Sourcing and ordering timber and materials, then planning and preparing layouts
- Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine required materials, measurements, and installation methods
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling components, securing them with nails or fasteners
- Constructing frameworks, roof structures, sub-flooring, and floorboards while ensuring alignment and level
- Installing fascia boards, roofing coverings, and external cladding, as well as fitting door and window frames
- Assembling pre-cut timber pieces into complete structures and fittings ready for installation
- Cutting joints in timber to create precise connections
- Constructing temporary formwork for concrete pours
- Repairing or refurbishing damaged or worn timber components
Qualifications & experience
Qualification requirement: AQF Certificate III in Carpentry including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3). At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
Work experience requirement: The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of full-time work experience as a Carpenter, or 6 years if you do not hold a qualification as listed above.
A valid White Card is required for this position.
