As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including cutting, assembling, joining for both residential and commercial projects.
- Preparing substrate, understanding the principals of square/level is crucial.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to establish installation procedures and materials required.
- Select and evaluate materials for defects, manage material usage and minimize waste, ensuring projects are completed cost-effectively.
- Follow all code requirements for Australian building standards.
- Participate in workplace training programs as required.
- Working closely with the project management team to deliver exceptional results.
- Ensuring all work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High levels in competency in measuring, cutting and installing timber flooring, skirting, etc
- Proficient and safe use of hand and power tools with measurement instrument are essential.
- Basic math and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to details.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
