Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. 

You will be contributing to the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Requirements for successful overseas applicants: 

  • Have relevant skills and experience for the nominated occupation.
  • Pass an approved English test, unless exempt by passport or education history.
  • Arrange and maintain Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC), as required under the Subclass 482 visa.
  • Travel Expenses: Overseas applicants are responsible for arranging and paying for their initial flight to Australia. 

Proficiencies:

  • Proven experience as a Carpentry Tradesman or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
  • Experienced in operating carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute building construction projects, including, foundations, floors, wall and roof frames, fit out and other construction elements.
  • Read and interpret building plans and drawings.
  • Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage and train staff onsite, including apprentices and labourers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good and safe working order.

Qualification & experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cert III or equivalent qualification in Carpentry.
  • Experience with high-end residential projects.
  • General knowledge of building materials
  • White Card (to be obtained in NSW).
  • Valid driver’s license – International driver’s need to transfer to a NSW driving license within 6 months from arrival in Australia.
