About the role
The key objective for these positions is to ensure towns, town entrances and public areas are kept safe, clean and tidy, functional and well-presented to create a positive image and sense of pride for the Indigo Shire region.
About you
We are looking for individuals to join our Casual Road Maintenace team based out of the Rutherglen Depot.
In this role you will:
Perform road and infrastructure repairs and maintenance (e.g. patching, drainage, mowing, pruning, weed control).
Operate and maintain a range of tools and machinery (e.g. chainsaws, mowers, line trimmers).
Install and maintain street signage and road furniture.
Conduct road patrols and follow all OH&S and safety protocols, including manual handling.
Complete Job Safety Analyses, Risk Assessments, and follow Safe Work Method Statements.
Maintain equipment and report its condition to supervisors.
Ensure compliance with roadwork signage regulations.
Be available for after-hours work as requested and undertake other duties as required.
