Safe Dig Services are a Vacuum Excavation (non-destructive digging/hydro vacuuming) company who have been in operation for over 25 years with depots located in Sumner Park and North Queensland.  With a recent boom in the construction industry, Safe Dig Services has experienced rapid growth in the past 12 months.  Safe Dig Services have undertaken a process of rebranding and cementing our customer relations to ensure the future success of our business. 

With a renewed focus on CCTV Pipe Inspections, we seek expressions of interest for CCTV Operators for works in the SEQ region and travel to our North Queensland depot for works from time to time. Safe Dig offers condition assessment and pipe inspections of stormwater drains, sewers, and large culverts alongside drain cleaning capabilities to assist in clearing blockages and cleaning of pipes. With a modern fleet of vacuum trucks, drain cleaning equipment and a strong management team to back up the brand, no job is too big or small. Using Proteus camera systems, operators can inspect pipes anywhere from 80mm up to 2m and provide WINCAN reports. 

About the role

CCTV Operator is a highly independent role which requires attention to detail and a high level of responsibility and safety awareness in a live construction environment. 

As a CCTV Operator at Safe Dig Services, you will need to be an energetic hands on Operator with previous experience in CCTV Pipe Inspections and report writing. 

This role will be based in Brisbane and working in the SEQ region predominately. Our contracts cover Brisbane to far north Queensland so you will be required to work away from home when necessary at our depots in Mackay and Rockhampton. Accommodation and meals will be provided when you are required to work away from home. You will be required to be efficient and have a willingness to try new tasks.  

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will perform CCTV Pipeline Inspection and condition assessments and be experienced in Wincan VX reporting systems. All vehicles and equipment will be supplied, but the following traits are necessary:

• Have WinCan and pipeline CCTV experience along with WSAA accreditation
• Have a Confined Space qualification or be willing to obtain
• HR Licence essential 
• Construction Card is mandatory
• Computer literacy and ability to complete reports on findings
• Be reliable with a great attitude
