Chef

We are looking for a qualified and experienced chef to work on a full-time basis.

RVV Holdings Pty Ltd trading as The Tradesman Café located in Moorabbin offers a wide variety of modern Australian food in our cafe and available for catering. You will be expected to hit the ground running using your experience and knowledge to prepare the variety of dishes. We pride ourselves on the quality and taste of our food we offer.

You will be responsible in all aspects of cooking by ensuring the highest quality of ingredients are used to produce the best tasting dishes, and that presentation of food is highly appetising.

You will be able to work independently and will be rewarded with friendly and supportive team & work environment.

• No split or double shifts as our cafe opens for breakfast & lunch only
• 5 day week flexible roster, some weekend work required 
•  
• A positive attitude with strong work ethic and communication skill
• Experience in Modern Australian Breakfast & Lunch cooking
• Able to work individually and in a team environment
• Organisation skills
• Relevant qualification at Diploma level required
• 2 years work experience as a Chef

Essential Criteria:

Responsibilities:

• Planning menu ideas with the owner in accordance with seasonal produce.
• Ordering food and other supplies while keeping to budget
• Ensuring quality and freshness of food
• Preparation, cooking, and plating of all dishes on the menu, and training other kitchen staff as required, ensuring quality and presentation
• Following HACCP program & supervising kitchen hygiene
• Able to adjust menu items to comply with allergen requirements and customer requests and instruct front of house staff accordingly.
• Managing occupational health and safety in the kitchen

This is an annual base salary excluding superannuation.
