Tasks & responsibilities
- Plan and develop menus while estimating food and labour costs.
- Order and manage food supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
- Monitor dish quality at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen staff to enhance menu offerings.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on food preparation.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining high culinary standards.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff when required.
- May oversee freezing and food preservation processes.
Qualifications & experience
- Relevant Qualification and at least minimum 2-3 years of proved experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in menu planning, food costing, and stock management.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high food quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for delivering outstanding food and customer satisfaction.
