About the Role
Based at Melbourne Airport, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of hot and cold dishes for airline passengers. You’ll follow set recipes and specifications designed for international airlines, ensuring every meal meets strict presentation and food safety standards.
  
This is a fast-moving environment where efficiency and attention to detail go hand in hand. You’ll work within a structured team and be expected to contribute to daily production targets while maintaining high-quality outputs. Roles are available across different cuisines including Western and Asian menus.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
  • Prepare hot and cold meals as per airline recipes and specifications
  • Plate and portion dishes according to strict visual and weight guidelines
  • Work alongside your team to meet daily production goals and timelines
  • Keep your station and kitchen area clean and hygienic in line with HACCP
  • Monitor ingredients and assist in stock control to reduce wastage
The Must-Haves
You’ll need the following to be successful:
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Solid knife skills and experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of HACCP and best-practice food safety procedures
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain presentation standards
  • Calm and productive approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-focused mindset with reliable communication
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment police, drug/alcohol, and medical checks
