As the result of increased demand for our services and company growth, we have exciting opportunities for Chefs De Partie’s to join our growing professional Catering team. We are delivering our services to an international, high-profile client located in a premium office location in Sydney’s CBD.
No split and weekend shifts. Monday to Friday only!
Reporting to the Executive Chef, your focus is to ensure a smooth-running kitchen, in the preparation, presentation and execution of the designed menus. Ensure that food safety standards, dietary needs and managing the daily tasks of the culinary aspect of the operation. You will leverage your team leading experience supervising motivated and professional team members.
Your key daily activities
Implement and maintain a rotating menu that caters to dietary needs customer preferences with adherence to the budget.Prepare produce and products for various dishes according to recipes.Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies, and rotate stock to maintain freshness and prevent wastage.Manage costs by minimising waste and utilising products efficiently.Ensure food meets the correct standard for serving to customers.Respond to customer requests and feedback regarding the food quality.Maintain the required records of HACCP, WH&S and Financials.Provide on the job training to the culinary team on food preparation and safety procedures.Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.Promote a safe, secure environment for all staff and visitors.Participate in an annual performance appraisal with the Manager.Conduct regular food tasting and record these as per Gate group standards.
About youA minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Chef De Partie.Experience in successfully leading teams/kitchen management.Past experience in Corporate Catering is highly desirable.Strong customer service focus & good communication skills.Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processesSound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligationsAustralian recognised Qualification in the Culinary Arts or related field.Excellent knowledge of HACCP, and allergen management, ideally with current NSW food safety supervisor certificate.Completed vocational training in a culinary and related hygiene course.Good computer literacy.Previous experience in catering is highly desirable.
