As our Chef, you’ll be responsible for leading food preparation and service, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in every dish. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who’s motivated, organised, and enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking dishes for both day and night service Managing kitchen operations including stock control, prep, and food safety compliance Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop and refine menu items
Ensuring consistency in food presentation and quality Supporting the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace Monitoring portion control, waste reduction, and cost-efficiency
Qualifications & Experience: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (minimum requirement) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
Experience in a similar café or small-plate restaurant setting is preferred Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative menu development
