Black Mount Spring Water is recognised as the leading supplier of bulk spring water and transport to the Australian bottled water industry. Family owned and operated for over 35 years, Black Mount has expanded its’ services nationally with operations now located throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.
With our head office located in Millbrook, Victoria, Black Mount operates a modern and well-maintained fleet of 45 prime movers, 88 purpose-built food grade stainless steel tankers, and a small rigid fleet.
Black Mount also directly manages over 25 water source properties which are certified with the Australasian Bottled Water Institute and regulated to Australian food safety and quality standards.
As we prepare for the next growth phase of our business, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Operations Officer to join our Executive Team based at our Head Office in Millbrook, Victoria.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Chief Operations Officer will play a central role in embedding operational excellence and ensuring alignment between strategic goals and day-to-day execution. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the operations of our business nationally and will work closely with our Executive team and Operations Managers to execute our business strategies.
An absolute focus on providing excellent and reliable service to our customers is paramount. Key aspects of this role include:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across operational functions
Leverage data and digital tools to optimise decision-making and operational efficiency
Report to the CEO and Board on operational performance and key growth metrics
Ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest quality standards for both food safety and transport

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
10+ years in senior operational leadership roles, ideally in high-growth or multi-site environments
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a focus on long-term sustainability

A strategic mindset, adaptability, and a passion for purpose-led work
