Claims Manager

Your new company

Our public sector client is seeking a Claims Manager to join their team on a temporary contract for 3 months with extension possibilities. The role will be working 5 days per week/ 7.5 hours per day. This position is located within Perth CBD, nearby to public transport and parking. The role will be working within the organisation's Litigation Management Team and reporting to the Head of the Litigation Management Team.

Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible. Candidates with notice periods will still be considered.

Your new role

• Oversee a team managing civil claims
  
• Ensure efficient claims management by supervising litigation operations, prioritising tasks, and meeting court deadlines.
  
• Process and maintain legal documents to uphold required standards for discovery and departmental legal representation.
  
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Insurance Commission of WA (ICWA), State Solicitor's Office, private law firms, and Counsel, to navigate legal claims.
  
• Enhance communication with private panel firms, supporting briefings and addressing routine enquiries.

• Proven leadership and organisational abilities, adept at guiding teams, managing activities, and meeting deadlines.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to challenges.
  
• Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills, capable of articulating complex legal concepts within a team setting.
