About Patient Safey And Clinical Excellence Division

The Patient Safety and Clinical Excellence Division provides leadership and oversight of the systems and processes that enable the delivery of safe, effective and appropriate care for our patients. The Division is made up of the Patient Safety Unit, the Clinical Excellence Unit and Patient Experience Unit.

About The Role

The Clinical Excellence Leads support the ongoing monitoring, improvement and assurance of the National Standards Program ensuring Austin Health meets the minimum requirements of the Standards through coordination and facilitation of the governance committee and action plan.

A Regular Day Will See You

  • Provide leadership for Austin Health in preparation for the National Standards Accreditation Short Notice Assessment Program
  • Support the development and oversight of relevant performance measures for monitoring a safety and quality scorecard
  • Facilitate local area improvement related to the National Standards program utilising the organisations quality improvement framework
  • Influence leadership and high level governance responsibilities for Patient Safety and Clinical Excellence
  • Work with the Patient Safety and Clinical Excellence team to build a culture that promotes safety, quality and innovation and fosters a commitment to continuous review and improvement in all departments across Austin Health.
About YouAs the Clinical Excellence Lead, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating local area implementation of the National Standards program
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work effectively with senior personnel, managers and members of the executive team
  • Excellent data analysis and writing skills including the preparation of written reports to a high standard and appropriate for the purpose and audience.
